CHICAGO — The semifinal matches and championship match of the 124th Western Amateur presented by Inspire11 have been postponed due to inclement weather.
Championship officials made the decision Saturday after assessing the impact of overnight rainfall and the potential for severe weather at The Beverly Country Club this afternoon.
The semifinals will now be contested on Sunday morning, with World Amateur Golf Ranking No. 5 Miles Russell (Florida State commit) and No. 33 Jay Leng (Stanford) teeing off at 7 a.m. and No. 80 Logan Reilly (Auburn) and No. 109 Michael Riebe (Vanderbilt) following at 7:12 a.m.
The winners will advance to the championship match, which is scheduled for noon.
Live coverage on ESPN+ will also shift to Sunday, with semifinal coverage starting at 8 a.m. CT and the championship match in its entirety.
Championship officials will continue to monitor course conditions and provide updates as necessary.

First held at Glen View Club in 1899, the Western Amateur is the third-oldest amateur golf championship in the world, trailing only the British Amateur (1885) and the U.S. Amateur (1895). The championship annually features many of the world's top amateur golfers, with past champions including Charles "Chick" Evans, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
